Purple pods turn green when steamed!  Good size bean, not stringy.  Taste great raw or cooked.  Good producer, pods are about 6"  Harvest frequently to encourage growth.  Beautiful flowers attract bees. Beans are a warm-season plant and you can direct seed after all risk of frost has passed (May 24th in Niagara), or start indoors and transplant after all risk of frost has passed.
